Every week, I put together a Waiver Wire Cheat Sheet for my subscribers that recommends players to consider adding either by spending waiver priority or blind bidding dollars, or simply waiting until waivers clear and scooping them up for free.
The following players are rostered in less than 50%—or near 50%—of Yahoo leagues. They are on this list because their recent usage—or injuries ahead of them—suggest they'll be fantasy relevant moving forward.
Obviously, keep your own league settings, rosters and needs in mind when choosing who to prioritize and whether or not you should spend priority on them, but these are common free agents that can provide a spark in week 16 or simply add depth to your roster.
Here are 15 players to consider adding both before AND after the week 16 waiver wire runs.
🏈 RB Ty Chandler (52% rostered)
Ty Chandler sent some opponents packing in week 15, handling a monster 26 touches—including 3 catches on 4 targets—for 157 yards and 1 TD (24.7 PPR points).
Unfortunately, his week 16 matchup is terrifying against a league-best Lions defense that is holding enemy RBs to the FEWEST PPR points per game...
But in week 17, Chandler will get a Packers defense that is allowing the 10th MOST PPR points per game.
Chandler is worth waiver priority or blind bidding dollars if he will be in your starting lineup in any of the next 2 games.
🏈 TE Hunter Henry (24% rostered)
Hunter Henry set new season highs in targets (9), catches (7), yards (66) and PPR points (19.6) in week 15, making it back to back weeks where he's scored 19+ PPR points.
In week 16, he'll take on a league-worst Broncos defense that just got smashed by Sam LaPorta and is bleeding the 4th most catches, 2nd most yards, MOST TDs and MOST PPR points per game to enemy TEs.
Hunter Henry is going to be a top—if not THE top—streaming option in week 16.
Henry is only worth waiver priority or blind bidding dollars if he will be in your starting lineup in any of the next 2 games.
🏈 WR Noah Brown (40% rostered)
Nico Collins could return in week 16 but, according to Dr. Deepak Chona, week 17 is much more likely.
If Collins misses another week, Noah Brown will serve as the de facto WR 1 in a CJ Stroud offense.
Unfortunately, his matchup is brutal against a Browns defense that is holding enemy WRs to the FEWEST catches, 4th fewest yards, 7th fewest TDs and 2nd fewest PPR points.
But in week 17 where Brown will be the WR 2 at worst, Houston plays a Titans defense that Brown JUST dumped 22.2 PPR points on yesterday.
Brown is worth waiver priority or blind bidding dollars if he will be in your starting lineup in any of the next 2 games.
